  • Caplan-Lieber Human Relations Award Nominee Caplan-Lieber Human Relations Award Nominee On April 24th, 2013, Evan Sweeney and Mrs. Hartzell attended a luncheon hosted by the Pittsburgh Area Jewish Committee, in which Evan was recognized as a Caplan-Lieber Human Relations Award Nominee. The PAJC works to strengthen communities in the Pittsburgh area by fostering inter-group dialogue, by nurturing mutual respect and cooperation between diverse religious, racial, and ethnic groups and by advancing human rights and democratic principles.   • Sixth Grade Equations Tournament Sixth Grade Equations Tournament Congratulations to the eleven Northgate sixth grade students who attended the Northern Area Gifted Consortium Equations Tournament on Tuesday, April 16th. Students competed against Ingomar Middle, Marshall Middle and Carson Middle schools, all in the North Allegheny School District. (Click image to read more)
  • Forensics Team Forensics Team The Northgate Forensics Team concluded their tournaments on March 9th and March 16th at Butler Catholic. The Finals Tournament, held March 9th, had 12 students participate. Each student earned a ribbon for either First, Second or Third Place in their category! We had 2 First Place ribbons, 3 Second Place ribbons, and 2 Third Place ribbons. (Click image to read more)
  • HS SWPBS HS SWPBS In 2011, the SWPBS Core Team began rewarding Student of the Quarter in order to recognize a specific trait, along with the displayed school wide expectations. This year's identified traits are Leadership, Responsibility, Character, and Respect. Students are nominated by their teachers, counselors, and administrators for displaying these traits. Other stipulations include zero tardies and zero discipline referrals. Students were awarded a certificate, and these certificates were hung on the banners outside the auditorium.
